The Covid-19 pandemic put a stop to many live events around the world, and backgammon tournaments are no exception. But this is not a reason not to compete and that’s why we want to share with you information about the 1st Northern Cyprus International Online Backgammon championship. You now have the opportunity to play a triple-elimination tournament from the comfort of your living room and help people in need at the same time.
How to register
To register for this wonderful event, it is very simple. You just have to contact the tournament director Niyasi Unluturk by WhatsApp or Viber at this number : +905338633424.
Then you need to pay the 30€ entry fee with PayPal and you are in! You will also receive a link to access the tournament system on bgtournament.com, where you can see your ranking and the match you have to play.
The matches will be 9 points with Normal clock and all the action will take place on one of the most powerful online backgammon platforms : Backgammon Galaxy.

Don’t wait too long to register as the number of places is limited and more than 100 players already signed up. On top of that, a part of the entry fee will be used to provide food to families in need during this dark time.
